Cannes 2022 Fashion: Aditi Rao Hydari brought with her, a melting pot of sartorial moments

There is something about this Hyderabadi girl that always delights. And if you’re wondering what that might be then her recent debut at the 75th Cannes International Film Festival was a worthy testimony to her charm and elegance. It would be safe to say that Aditi Rao Hydari is in the prime of her career, straddling the weight of her regal legacy and a string of opportunities, clinching that perfect insider-outsider intersection in Bollywood and the South Indian film industry. As a brand ambassador for Vivo, Aditi pulled off a stellar style coupe that featured a little bit of everything – a checkered moment here, a colour-blocking moment there with some stripes, monochrome, an LBD, and a Sabyasachi saree added in between for a good measure. Aditi pretty much bundled it all up. Armed with a strong glam game and a befitting accessory game, Aditi ringed in a distinct and refreshing vibe.

Aditi has established a salient forte to infuse life into ethnic ensembles, playing muse to some of the most exquisite creations by feted Indian designers. And while his penchant for pulling off exquisite ethnic ensembles isn’t new, we loved how she and her stylist of many years, Sanam Ratansi made it a valid point to include them in her Cannes repertoire. Her glam game was helmed by the hair and makeup artist Elton J Fernandez. We’ve briefed up a fashion capsule of her Cannes looks. Let’s take notes, shall we?

We love how Aditi gave us a taste of summer from the French Riviera with her articulated fashion play – a heady assortment of ethnic ensembles, high street styles, luxe red carpet ensembles, casual chicness and crisp formal wear. Also, she pulled them off with an effortless charm and equal but enviable aplomb; which is why she appeased fashion lovers and critics alike with her debut!
