All Saints Review: A great place for an indulgent evening out

All Saints is the newest addition to the growing repertoire of Khar eateries. It is a Grecian-themed restaurant with a luxurious interior that conveys a sense of glamor from the word go. All Saints, an all-day kitchen and bar, delves into the subjective concept that everyone is treated as a saint but food and drinks are sinful delights. Setting the perfect stage for whether you want to be a saint or a sinner, this relaxed hybrid venue straddles the lines between a deli, café, and bar. An elaborate and perpetual lighting effect instantly creates a decidedly intimate, albeit festive, mood after dark.

A sprawling space founded by Anuj Chugh, Gaurav Parikh, Varun Chugh, and Ketul Parikh, we spent an evening there, and here’s how we sinned on the ambiance, food, and drinks at All Saints!

How’s the ambiance at All Saints?

Stunning in its minimalist ivory-white simplicity, All Saints exudes a seemingly eclectically superlative luxury. It’s ideal for fantastic pre-dinner cocktails with a fresh outlook or for late nights when mellow music sets the mood. The décor has an understated class with a huge Michelangelo’s David mural, European-style columns, wall niches with memorabilia, and suspended IKEA-esque delightful lights. Circular seating, exotic plants, and patterned fabric upholstery dominate.

The interiors have been cleverly designed for Instagram aficionados. The vibe makes for a perfect date-night spot.

How are the drinks?

You can choose from an assortment of wines—sparkling, red, and white. Crafted cocktails like Spring Blossom, Gaia, Gunpowder, Adam and Eve, Caribbean Cassia, and Romeo and Juliet. One can also try their bubbly cocktails like Bellini, Mimosa, Symphony of Bubbles, and Valley of Flower. Then there are classic cocktails like Fiero spritzer, Cosmopolitan, Margarita, Whisky Sour, Mojito, Daiquiri, Sangria, Bloody Mary, Martini, Aperol Spritz, Manhattan, Negroni, and Long Island Iced Tea.

We tried the zero proofs, like Shirley Temple, which was a fizzy drink featuring Sprite, citrus, and grenadine. We also tried the Elder Springs, which featured a twist of fresh watermelon juice with elderflower syrup and citrus.

How’s the food?

Under the direction of Chef Santosh Nayak, the menu of All Saints, featuring Continental and Asian cuisines, receives a touch of refinement while maintaining its unspoiled essence. It includes a range of delicious appetizers, entrees, and desserts that are sure to please every palate. To commence, we ordered the Asparagus Tempura Sushi, featuring tanuki and spicy mango. Fresh and full of flavor, the tempura only added the right crunch to the creamy and rich roll.

We also ordered the Cream Cheese Edamame Dim Sum, featuring truffle-infused edamame and cream cheese, and the Wok-tossed Sliced Chicken with Black Pepper Sauce.  Light yet decadent, we loved the silky, savory edamame filling with chili oils and notes of black truffle flavor. The chicken was wonderfully crisp, and the sauce was aptly complimenting.

Following that, we transitioned to Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken, served alongside butter-sautéed onions, mushrooms, potatoes, and a side salad drizzled with chicken jus. We loved how the dish gave vegetables the same center-of-the-plate treatment as meat while still sharing the spotlight. The flavors shined through as the accompaniments lent much-needed textural integrity.

We concluded our meal with dessert, the Velvet Ferrero Rocher, consisting of hazelnut and Belgian dark chocolate. An ode to the legendary chocolate, this dessert will tranquilize your taste buds.

We also gorged on the Hazelnut Pod Chocolate Sauce, made with dark chocolate, hazelnut paste, and whipped cream, served in a chocolate dome topped with chocolate ganache. The textures, surprises, and bursts of flavor made for a wonderful experience.
