For Samantha Ruth Prabhu, it was an ultimate summertime splendor

Samantha Ruth Prabhu is soaking it all in, right from embodying that signature elegance to returning stronger from remission to the autoimmune condition, Myositis. She has been on a promotional spree to promote her latest silver-screen offering – Shaakuntalam. The Telugu mythological drama written and directed by Gunasekhar is based on the literature masterpiece Abhignyana Shakuntalam by Kalidasa. Samantha essays the titular role of Shakuntala to Dev Mohan’s Dushyanta, the king of the Puru dynasty. The mood board for the promotions clearly felt like a monochrome interpretation of modern-day Shakuntala by stylists Pallavi Singh and Selvi Thangaraj. A bonafide style cynosure, Samantha worked off that signature charm, poise and grace being equally at ease in ethnic and contemporary creations. Also, she has mastered a rare knack to blend in a comfort factor with all that’s in vogue.

Samantha’s penchant for the six-yard has always been the hallmark of her versatile fashion arsenal, this time around she also gave power suits a worthy tap. Her glam squad included hairstylist Rohit Bhatkar and makeup artist Avni Rambhia. Here’s a closer look.
